Ardfinnan, Tipperary. Marriage 1829

Ardfinnan, Tipperary

  Ardfinnan Marriage Index 1829

This is an index of the names of the people who were married in the Roman Catholic parish of Ardfinnan during the  year 1829.   The following table of marriages is transcribed from Ardfinnan Microfilm No. 2457 held online by the National Library of Ireland accessible through their Roman Catholic Parish Register Search page.   All names and surnames given here are as I read them.  This section of the register has first names in Latin.

If any of you have a problem with the Latin names, then I have a document online which may be of some help.

Latin Names in English

My list is sorted by the surname of the groom.  Question marks indicate letters or words I had a problem reading.  The letters ‘sic’ indicate that is how I read the letters I have typed.
[ ] indicates that the letters within the brackets are my best guess at what the letters might be.

Townlands are  not given

Durrow (Doorha, Lorha), Tipperary. Marriages 1829-30

Durrow (Doorha, Lorha) , Tipperary

Durrow (Lorha) Marriage Index 1829-1830

This is an index of the names of the people who were married in the Roman Catholic parish of Durrow (Doorha, Lorha), Tipperary during the years 1829 and 1830.  The civil parishes of Durrow and Lorrha which are in county Tipperary border on county Offaly (King’s Co).  The placename “Birr” is listed in these Durrow parish records so even though these records are listed as covering Co. Tipperary in the NLI some parts of Co. Offaly are also covered.

The following table of marriages is transcribed from Durrow (Doorha, Lorha), Tipperary, Microfilm No. 2480 held online by the National Library of Ireland accessible through their Roman Catholic Parish Register Search page.   All names given here are as I read them.

My list is sorted by the surname of the groom.  Question marks indicate letters or words I had a problem reading.  The letters ‘sic’ indicate that is how I read the letters I have typed.
[ ] indicates that the letters within the brackets are my best guess at what the letters might be
n.g. means the name or placename was not given.

A townland is listed as Lis in the records.  I am taking it that the Priest meant this as Lisballyard even though I have not said so and I list the townland name as Lis..

Abbeyside & Ring, Waterford. Marriage 1828-29

Abbeyside & Ring, Waterford

Marriage Index 1828-1829

The following table of Abbeyside & Ring marriages is transcribed from Microfilm No. 2469 held online by the National Library of Ireland accessible through their Roman Catholic Parish Register Search page.  This is an index of the names of the people who were married in the Roman Catholic parish of Abbeyside & Ring, during the years 1828 to 1829.  This section of the register is in Latin.  This means that generaly speaking first names are given in Latin, surnames are in English.  All names given here are as I read them.  When registers are in Latin many times we see names spelled incorrectly.  I do have a page online which gives Latin names in English so you may consider looking at that if you have any problems here.

My list is sorted by the surname of the groom.  Question marks indicate letters or words I had a problem reading.  The letters ‘sic’ indicate that is how I read the letters I have typed.
[ ] indicates that the letters within the brackets are my best guess at what the letters might be
n.g. means the name or placename was not given
Place names are given in this section of the register

Names that I have a question about the first letter of the surname lie at top of this list

Aghagallon (Ballinderry), Antrim. Marriages 1828-29

Aghagallon (Ballinderry) Marriages, Antrim

Aghagallon (Ballinderry), Antrim, Marriage Index 1828-29

The following table of Aghagallon (Ballinderry) marriages is transcribed from Microfilm No. 5467.   This microfilm is kept online by the National Library of Ireland accessible through their Roman Catholic Parish Register Search page.  This is an index of the names of the people who were married in this Roman Catholic parish during the years 1828 & 1829.  This section of the register is in English and I’m afraid to say it was a horrible register to go through!

My list is sorted by the surname of the groom.  Question marks indicate letters or words I had a problem reading. Square brackets hold letters that I am guessing at.

In some instances place names are given in this section of the register.  I have left an n.g. where no place name was given.

John McCully was a Protestant
